2015 Update:

In 2015, the Lafayette Study Circle celebrated its 15th anniversary. In preparation for the Synod of Bishops on the Family, they met in August and discussed Marc Ouellet’s “Marriage and Family within the Sacramentality of the Church: Challenges and Perspectives” (Summer 2014). In December, Joseph Ratzinger’s 1992 essay “What is Truth? The Significance of Religious and Ethical Values in a Pluralistic Society” was discussed in light of the shifting understanding of freedom’s relation to truth in our nation. During Lent 2016, the group met each Sunday afternoon to discuss Adrienne von Speyr’s The Passion from Within and Hans Urs von Balthasar’s Life Out of Death.
